Initial Contact and Setup
A SG Partners HR specialist will contact you and request existing payroll forms and files. The HR specialist will then set up the information within our computer system, which you can access 24/7.
Hiring of Employees
The HR specialist will provide a new-hire package for each new employee. You can return the package to SG Partners by fax or e-mail. We will then enter the new employee into our system.
Benefits Management
At the time an employee is hired, we automatically create reports that show when the new employee is eligible for the employee benefits that are offered. Each month, we provide you with a report indicating the employees that qualify for benefits and when. The SG Partners HR specialist will then work with your office manager to have the employee enrolled in your benefits plan in an efficient and pain-free manner.
Payroll Management
Each pay period, SG Partners will provide you a draft of your payroll run with our best available information. You will then review it and let us know of any new-hires, terminations, hours for employees, vacation, sick, etc. We will then rerun and provide an updated draft payroll for your review. Once you approve the payroll, we run payroll and make all direct deposits, checks, and tax payments. At that time, we will provide detailed payroll reports.
Termination of an Employee
You should consult your SG Partners HR specialist as soon as possible if there is an employee problem. Termination is complex and has significant legal ramifications. To issue a termination check, you may manually write the check with the information we provide, or we can prepare it and overnight it to your office.
Compliance Matters
The SG Partners HR specialist will be your main point of contact for all compliance issues and will be able to answer most of your questions within two business days. We encourage you to e-mail all questions to promote clarity. If a question is more involved and requires a legal opinion, we can coordinate with your attorney or with labor attorneys we work with to get you the answer (at an additional charge for the legal fees).

SG Partners will provide access to a comprehensive forms library that covers most matters, including hiring, payroll, safety, and termination.
Employee Handbook
SG Partners will provide a legally compliant employee handbook to serve as a guide to your employees, supervisors, and managers. Publishing your policies can help clarify expectations and minimize the risk of costly disputes. The employee handbook is provided in PDF format and is updated on an annual basis.
